Albanians abroad

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

I think Hysaj is best at LB from a tactical stand point since it's easier to find more attacking right backs and Hysaj's performances doesn't fluctuate much between LB and RB.

The problem is some of you guys (along with fans and media) have overrated him for years because he's been playing in top Italian teams since a young age. Hysaj is a defensive fullback that doesn't provide much going forward. Once you accept that he'll never carry a team but instead is a consistent clog to provide defensive coverage you'll realize his value. He's a player that I don't care how he performs for his club teams anymore as long as he's still consistent with the NT.

He clearly declined, lacks motivation, career over and should be replaced by Eneo Bitri.
Djimsiti was suspended because of yellow cards

Point still remains. There have been many games where he has been benched/rotated this season and no one says a word about that or his mistakes and bad games.

Don't see the same energy as Hysaj gets.

In the past 12 months in all competitions:

Hysaj: 6.70 https://www.sofascore.com/de/spieler/el ... saj/136322

Djimisiti: 6.87 https://www.sofascore.com/de/spieler/be ... iti/151003

That's hardly a difference. They are right there give or take but listening to Albanian fans one of those players is the second coming of Maldini while the other needs to retire from the game.

Except stats don't really tell the whole story of being a defender? Djimsiti plays in CL and is our most expensive player in Transfermarkt.

You're right. Djim has a much easier task defending because he plays alongside two other CBs and teammates who hold possession majority of the time. And his ratings are still similar to Hysaj because he manages to make even more errors than Hysaj.

The "CL player" started in only 2 out of 6 CL games this season btw...

I mean, not counting the use of sofascore ratings (because its a pretty bad measure for obvious reasons), about 0.2 difference is really big.

That's the difference between like, VVD and Ben White. Lol

Then I guess Djimsiti's teammate Demiral must be a god compared to Djim because he has a 6.93 rating.

So you guys can see how easily you can reverse the Albanian agenda against Hysaj to a "favorite" player, Djmisiti right??

This by no means indicates that Djim is a bad player. He's not but you can easily "Hysaj his ass" and complain about his performances just as easily. It just proves the double standard and bias Albanian fans have for certain players at a similar level but personal feelings make a difference.

Instead of focusing on good players maybe you guys should be concerned on the bad ones and potential amateurs. Cikalleshi has lost his place in Turkey for months but nobody says a word. Uzuni is looking like a fish out of water in Spain, further proving the fact that top leagues are a different universe than these smaller amateurish leagues but nobody cares. Seferi is dominating the Albanian league while not even being able to make the bench in Swiss league, etc..
