Broja needs a Che Adams type of partner. Someone who runs non stop. For Albania only Uzuni can do that on top.
It’s Broja + a bunch of average guys so it’s pick your poison .

I’m more annoyed at Gjasula starting over Asllani. Guys a walking yellow card and crap on the ball. Asllani already better in recovering balls and good on the ball.

Slow footed Gjasula who can't keep up with the tempo in the 2nd division is expected to contain the quick feet of Pedri and Gavi. :rrokullisem:

Asllani benched? Reja staying true to his philosophy. The passing ability in that midfield is

Only Albania for some reason doesn’t play their best players. Atleast Balliu and Broja are in the lineup.

Cikaleshi is a terrible fit in this system when we don’t have pace or width. Balliu is our best wingback but he still won’t solve the width issue. Broja while he has pace you don’t want him to be a player to just make runs as it’s a waste of his skill set. Cika will just clog up space from Broja. Uzuini can atleast make runs and press defensively.

I think Gjasula is a decent player but both him and Laci shouldn’t be starting. I’m not a fan of Laci in Rejas system since he doesn’t have the IQ and possession ability to fit. He’ll probably be a good fit in a pressing and counter attacking system where his physical skill set and workrate/aggression would be in good use.

Yeah Laci is good off the bench to bring in some energy.

In extended minutes his amateurism gets shown. Bajrami would've probably played in his position if he was there.

The lineup's ok. My only concerns as mentioned above ^

1. Would prefer to see Uzuni//Manaj or even Vrioni in Cika's place. We see Cika enough in qualifiers anyway and he isn't suitable to play in games like this where we will park the bus. Uzuni with his workrate/pressing/runs or Manaj with his ability as an outlet gives more.

2. Asllani would help us keep possession much more. I like both Gjasula and Laci but you need a guy to distribute and handle the ball in the midfield. Bare and Asllani are two guys with underrated workrate as well so those two with Gjasula behind them probably would have been better.

We're facing Spain of all teams... Need all the passing ability we can get in midfield.

Right , someone like Asllani will help us keep the ball for that extra 2/3 mins over the game rather than giving away possession needlessly. Those 2 mins could be the difference between an L and a draw

Sokol Cikalleshi..

The “terrible fit” who scored super goals on the best Slavs from Warsaw to Prague.

You could say he was a reason the Slavs scored 4... or England 5.

Defending starts from the top.
