Salihi comes from a generation of Albanian (superliga) players who feared even Malta. That's why they never came close to qualifying and that's why Salihi himself could never play in a serious league. Inferiority complex is a thing.

I think Salihi also comes from a generation of players who are retired and want to be employed at the FSHF and have to no choice but to kiss Duka's/Reja's ass.

Ok looks like Broja , Bajrami and Asllani are starting which is good. We’ll still be the most boring team out there but they have the quality to win us the game simply through individual talent

Btw that Iceland generation Salihi is talking about that went to the WC and Euros was full of top league players and Sigurdsson being its best player.
Now that generation is long gone. This Iceland team is full of scrubs and youth players. It's like Montenegro. Their population/resources doesn't guarantee consistency. They had their golden generation and now it's very hard to replicate that.

Physicality and overall strength of the group has always been their main advantage. They were tall, strong guys who had a great self belief.

Yeah he failed to mention that was 6 years ago in 2016/18. And that most of those guys are now retired from international football, old or not playing at that level anymore.Dallku wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 5:35 pm Btw that Iceland generation Salihi is talking about that went to the WC and Euros was full of top league players and Sigurdsson being its best player.

Correct, but that team did have a few, a golden generation, compared to the current team they were much much better which makes our result pathetic . We can all see that apart from the delusionalPrinc wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 5:59 pmIceland never had many top leaguers..Dallku wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 5:35 pm Btw that Iceland generation Salihi is talking about that went to the WC and Euros was full of top league players and Sigurdsson being its best player.

Respecting the strength of your opponent does not signal inferiority complex.
You perpetuate an inferiority complex by constantly talking down the standout Superliga players. From Sulejmanov to Frasheri, you have claimed that even the very best of them do not deserve a call up.

Because they're fucking shit is why they don't deserve a call up, they wouldn't be playing in the most corrupt shit league in Europe if that wasn't the case. Once again, you change what people say to fit another shit argument of yoursPrinc wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 6:59 pmRespecting the strength of your opponent does not signal inferiority complex.
