It is false narration created by SuperSport and Duka asslickers over years. Albania has better stadiums than Bosna, Montenegro, Kosovo and Macedonia but level of league is very similar and even inferior compare to region. Albania had edge for some years because Kosovo clubs wasn't recognised by Uefa so they was getting players from Kosovo very cheaply but since that changed albanian clubs are in trouble because they don't produce players. Albania has "fancy stadiums but doesn’t have football fields where children can play and unfortunately has very few children who play football compare to region. Albania's investments in football were for the political benefits of Rama and for Duka to be re-elected, those few football fields who were constructed on unpopulated regions so he can get votes on the assembly for re-election.

Albania has also had some solid teams like Skënderbeu, Kukësi and now Laçi. The problem lies with historical clubs like Tirana, Partizani and co. They have been absolutely trash in Europe constantly for a long time now. There's little Duka or Rama can do about it.

Both of you make good points. When the capital city that has 40-60% of the population has been utterly trash over the past 15 years the league will struggle. Usually the capital city has the strongest teams with the exception being Germany.

They just opened a 4 floor casino inside Air Albania 3 weeks ago. I tried to buy tix to the Partizani game and the tickets were only sold at Stadiumi Dinamo. The stadium is nice and I enjoyed watching the game live but football was clearly an afterthought when this thing was built.

Shkupi drew Dinamo in middle of Zagreb with 2 goals this week. Shame they removed the away goals rule as the qualification would have been within arms reach.

Sindrit Guri has scored a goal in each of his last 2 matches for Shkendija. We should be looking to call him up soon. Skilled big man with soft feet..

The capital teams are a disgrace once again. Laçi were completely dominated but were fucked by the early red card, I expect a different match in Elbasan. Vllaznia not a bad result against Craiova, everything is still open. Let's see how they fare next week.

Craiova is a 20 mill team so Vllaznia did well. That's still the biggest team an Albanian team actually outright beat (in qualifiers). If they can do it two years in a row that'd be great :D

I'm going to watch the Europa Conference League game between SK Laci and Petrocub, July 28

I'm a bit confused by the venue - is the match played in Elbasan, or in Laci stadium?
Also, if anyone knows the best way to buy tickets I would be thankful for info.

Thanks in advance for replies
