Albanians abroad

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

But if we are being honest, none of these so called "talents" look promising at all. I guess Medon Berisha a little more than others because he actually had a pre season with Lecce's first team but that's a bad team and it's a red flag that he was sent to the primavera again. People are getting hyped up over literal amateurs.
It's stupid because Kosovo has constantly poached players from Switzerland. You can't have it both ways.
Which is the funniest thing because the guys we’re “poaching” are born and raised abroad. So we’re poaching from the Swiss, English and co.

But that escapes the main irrefutable point that they’re Albanians so there’s no problem to play for us.

Good point. Using that logic neither Albania nor Kosovo should call him up.

This is good for the players who will have more options. Kosovo should start “neutralizing” some Albanian or Macedonian based/diaspora players as well. Someone like Qazim Laci could have been useful for Kosovo while for Albania he’s a backup.

The only relevant Kosovars FSHF could get are Rexhbecaj and Mergim Berisha. They are not great either but at least they competent professionals who could contribute.

All these youth league players are nothing for people to get butthurt about. It will be a miracle if any of them even become professionals.

Honestly, I think Bushi is doing this out of desperation. The u21 results seem to be getting worse and Albanian league is producing absolutely nothing. At this point he's trying to fill up a roster. I still think this new generation u21 he's building will get smacked around like the previous ones... maybe even more.

But again, if we go for those guys no one should be getting upset. They're not products of Kosova to be making that argument.

Nedim Baggio went from highly rated starter to water boy for Empoli..

LMAO, Qazim Laci? Are you for real? There's a big problem if x player originates from Kosova is already playing for Kosova, but Albania decides to poach him.

And that's on him. He started well and then went to shit. He was also booed by Empoli fans for his performances and because they think that he wanted to leave.

Doesn't help that at the last minute they signed Pjaca... A very good player.

Seasons very long, Nedim did a great job last year and that just doesn’t go away.

Looks like Adrion Pajaziti is also going to be joining our U21s. Nice.
