See how aids these media people are? No mention of Cikalleshi who actually started and played 70 minutes though... and this new narrative they are starting to create that superliga players should be in the NT and could do better.. LOL

This Nations League campaign was unfortunate. A combination of bad luck with injuries and bad management in general by the coach. Djimsiti, Kumbulla and Bare missed most of the games.. You could see that Ismajli carried the defense hard in the last 2 games but as soon as he's out they go full amateur like they truly are.

Someone like Mihaj hasn't started 10 professional games in his career. He's still an amateur and a paok reject.
This is a hilariously bad take, Albanians really dont know football its scary. Drop Broja for guys who cant get past the worst teams in Europe in qualifiers? Drop Broja for guys that no one will ever buy, the best player in the superliga (supposedly) was whored out to the whole of Europe and barely got 500k, thats what you see even League 2 sides (4th division) in England pay for on the regular now.

Broja has received more football education than anyone in Albanian media/football, thats how far behind we are.

Its time for the youth. You have to call up guys like Erdis Kraja, Kalaj, Mitaj, Mehmeti, Muci, Cokaj, Ceka. Guys who are all currently playing at 2nd/3rd division level but could potentially be key in years to come if they develop properly.

Thats what I would do at least. Build around a core of Broja, Asllani and Kumbulla. The 3 key guys in attack, midfield and defence who'll be with us in the next 10 years. You just need these guys to build relationships and contribute.

We wont have a team full of guys like Broja or Asllani who will be playing champions league football for the best teams but if we can surround them with guys at the level of Bare, Uzuni, Bajrami then we should have no problem making all major tournaments.

Heck even guys like Lindon Selhahi who played well in the Eredivisie for a while can contribute more in the future than amateurs from the Superliga.

Oh and I would do everything I can to get mercenaries like Mergim Berisha and Rexhbecaj involved, tell them to become the next Mavraj, loved by all instead of never playing for Germany. (Toma and the Swiss boys too)

Just off the top of my head, let me know if I missed anyone out. FB clearly the area where we will struggle, unlike other positions, dont have any emerging young guys. But hopefully you get the jist of the squad, mostly young with the quality older guys like Djimsiti sticking around, something to build on over the next few years.

GK: Strakosha (27), Berisha (33), Kastrati (25)

DEF
CB: Djimsiti (29), Kumbulla (22), Ismajli (25), Bajrami (20) , Kalaj (22), Mihaj (24)
FB: Hysaj (28), Balliu (30), Mitaj (19)

MID
DM/CM: Asllani (20), Bare (25), Rexhbecaj (24), Toma (23), Cokaj (23) , Kraja (22)
AM: Bajrami (23), Laci (26), Muci (SS, 21)

ATA
ST: Broja (21), Berisha (24)
W: Uzuni (27), Mehmeti (21) , Cekici (25) , Ceka (22)

Albania does have decent players on paper. We have a few young quality players who should be key players for years to come, a few good veterans who have another cycle or two in them and we have some role players who aren’t key players but with the right system and players around them they can be okay in supporting roles,

Albania has been suffering from a disaster of lineup schemes/tactics and lineup selections. Even Panucci tried to play his best eleven and kept shuffling to find players but he was given dog shit talent. Reja on the other hand was given some legit players who can start for many European countries and blindly ignored them for amateurs. This is inexcusable.

Message is spot on..

No more mascots on the field! Only those in tip top shape and ready to give 100% should be called up!

You don’t have to imagine, you’ll get to see Albania playing Saudi Arabia in a month where most of the players will be from superliga.
