They are perfectly fine collecting the entry prize money for the Champions League and Conference League qualification and getting whatever transfer fees they can collect from selling players. I get selling guys like Seferi, Xhixha, etc, because they're not worth $1,5 combined but selling a guy like Ismalgjeci for peanuts (who is arguably their best player and homegrown) and not signing more players is inexcusable.

Partizani won't punish them because they're doing the same exact thing and obviously KF Erzeni in third place is a joke in itself. It's a shame because both Tirana teams could pull of their own version of Ludogorets if they weren't so mismanaged and greedy. So much wasted potential and it's been 6 years of Tirana teams just winning titles with them getting nowhere close of qualifying.

Albanians think that relying on other countries to develop young Albanians will solve their problem but there’s far more than having a competitive national team (made of diaspora players) It tells a lot about football in Albania that the league is bad and overlooked by serious clubs, can’t attract top players and have clubs eliminated from Europe after one round.

That would be a good move. Similar to Xhixha to Qarabag. The top teams of these small nations can be good because they play in Europe every year...

but Ismajlgeci to Zrijnski Mostar for 100k is an L even if they are better than Tirana.

Losing Ismalgjeci to a random Bosnian club is a joke. Almost as bad as the Superliga losing it’s best players to random Turkish second division clubs for free (and to watch them all flop). It’s really not hard to qualify for Conference League through winning the domestic league route. Just keep the core and make 1-2 signings and they would have a shot. The reward would be much higher (millions vs a $100k transfer fee).

Its safe to say no Albanian Superliga teams will qualify next summer.

Even so you can't count out players with decent pace and technical ability because once they figure it out or simply focus more(especially defensively) they can reach higher levels with ease.

100k is peanuts for a player with those qualities. Zrinjski is a poor club but even they saw the value.

I don't know if you guys remember Vojvoda for the Albania u21 but he used to make the most amateurish mistakes ever but his technical ability was high level. He learned to clean up those mistakes and look at him now.

What sucks about this Ismajlgeci move is that Bosnia is basically another Albania. It will be hard for him to be motivated and grow professionally.

Ismalgjeci was Tirana's best player for that period after Muci left. He's also been one of the few competent players for the u21 team in the past few years. Maybe he sucks this year idk but he has pace and some technical ability to be an offensive threat. He'll never be able to make the jump to a bigger league at this point but for the Albanian Superliga and for qualifying for the second and third competitions in Europe he's more than capable.

All these Albanian teams get knocked out each year because they have no pace, dynamism or width. They all get embarrassed by Andorran, Luxembourg or Bosnian teams because they play guys like Seferi on wings or slow Macedonian defenders as fullbacks or relying on a 36 year old Plaku as their offensive threat. Just look at how Ballkani plays and it's a night/day difference between Albanian teams.

Seferi, Xhixha, Bekaj, Totre, Limaj, Toli were more consistent with their form and played on higher level. Ismajlgeci is bad copy of Ansi Agolli and fact that he isn't better player now than 18 months ago it says everything about him.

Needs to leave Roma, there are many clubs in Serie A where he could start and improve.
