Meanwhile Edon Zhegrova obtained the Albanian citizenship, rumours say he's getting transfered to Juventus.

Italy considers players with Albanian citizenship as locals so we'll see many more albanians in Serie A from now on.
He should be counted as Swiss if he'll play for them, hypocrisy.

Honestly good for him. I don’t think Albania should deserve to get all the diaspora players and honestly what’s the point when probably some amateur that is the managers favorite start over him. A national team that constantly starts amateurs like Manaj, etc, doesn’t deserve diaspora talents. Albania will eventually have no choice tho but to start a squad full of Manaj,s

Wow!

Big midfielder with all the tools to be a serious player!

Kosovo riding high at the moment just jumped into UNL B!

Very unfortunate for Switzerland (his birth country!) who developed him into the player he is today..

In my opinion, it’s a mistake for Avdullahu..
Only time will tell, but Bajrami choosing Albania was the best decision he has made.

Avdullahu has all the traits to work his way into the Swiss team..

Born in Switzerland. Developed by Switzerland.

Nothing should make a player more proud than giving back to the country that gave so much to you!

Albania should worry about developing its own talents instead of looking to just take, take, take!

Xherdan Shaqiri for Swiss media basically said that Avdullahu chose Kosovo because he has more chances to play for them than Switzerland. https://www.blick.ch/sport/fussball/nat ... 71844.html

He could be right but it's still a big addition for Kosovo. They need all the midfielders and defenders they can get.

Albania would be Malta without the Kosovars and diaspora.

Muci alone is worth more than all of Malta, so that's not the case. But some positions like CBs would straight up be amateurs.

Without Albanian diaspora? Yes

Without Kosovars?? No. In the past few years only Ismajli, Ajeti and Ramadani have contributed and all 3 are more than replaceable.

Yeah Malta is a stretch lol even with superliga products. Maybe Moldova, Azerbaijan, Montenegro.. Around that level.
