Myrto Uzuni

Is there any other Albanian player in history with a career as big as his??

Albanian players are cooked if Uzuni's career is considered big.

MLS is a clown league. 0 defense being played. I tried watching Austin FC a few times and had to turn it off every time.

Uzuni (despite the stats and always being wide open) makes the wrong decision most of the time. Like when he has a wide open teammate he will pass it to someone who's marked, he passes when he should shoot, etc... Very frustrating player and league.

His NT performances make a lot of sense.

Btw Uzuni is 39th (!!!) top scorer in the league. Not only does that show how mid he is but also how ridiculous that league is in terms of defending and attack. So many double digit scorers already.

39th in MLS but top 15 in La Liga 2023/24..

He done it everywhere, including in the Champions League..

Did you see him score on America couple weeks ago..

That’s a powerhouse in Mexico..

Man done it on different continents too.

All other Albanian players failed miserably in MLS.

Game was too fast for them..

9 goals 1 assist this season across all competitions..

146 goals, 47 assists career all club competition..

Let me know who’s done it better..

Uzuni is a typical journeyman like thousands of players. He has done well for an Albanian league product but that's where it starts and ends with him.

He only lasted 1 season in La Liga because he wasn't good enough. He spent majority of his career in 2nd divisions, Hungary, relegation Croatia, MLS, Albania.

That's just his level. One season in relegation La Liga doesn't override 10+ years of him proving that he's a 2nd division level player.

If you want to know about great careers for Albanian players these come to mind: Hysaj, Bogdani, Tare, Rudi Vata, Skela, Lala. If you want to include diaspora/foreign products then you can also add Djimsiti, Cana.

Uzuni is a much more prolific scorer and assist man than Tare and Bogdani ever were..

I’d say Bogdani and Tare at their absolute peak may have been better players, but I can’t say they had a bigger career than Uzuni..

For the rest, I can’t compare midfielders and defenders with a guy scoring and assisting against the best competition in the world in leagues like UCL, UEL, La Liga, MLS..
