Balliu should have already been called up, playing La Liga 2 is much better than guys like Doku playing in amateur leagues.

What options does he have? I'd argue he's still the weakest link in our defence.

Rumours for a while now Roma is looking to trade Kumbulla to Torino. I'm not very happy he's taking a backward step this early in his career tbh, sure he's still Serie A level but I would hope he could crack it at a CL club minimum..

Roma is not a CL club... I don't really care as long as he's playing in Serie A consistently, and has no injuries.

With how he looked at 19 I'm holding out hope he could go further than Roma. For him to turn out a mid-table Serie A quality would be disappointing.

Roma did not put him in a position to succeed. They played him on the sides of a 3 men backline and his weaknesses (pace) was exposed against speedy wingers. Roma is also not like Verona where everybody bunkered and he had tons of cover. In Roma they play a more open attacking style so he gets in tough positions. Even for Albania he plays in the middle.

But play time is the most important thing at this stage of his career so even if he goes to Torino it's ok.

I'm 100% fine of him getting out of Roma. A backwards manager who has lost it + a place where guys tear their ACLs all the time (already had 1 knee scare). Roma isn't that good anyway.

Anyhow, we'll see because it's just speculation. I doubt anyone would pay 35 million for Belotti.

You're confusing player level and club level. There are world class players in the making in mid-table teams, and mediocre players playing in top teams.

Vrioni was playing for Juventus and he was a Serie C level player, if that.

Roma put a big investment in him and really didn’t have a plan for him from the beginning which was weird since they had other needs that center back. DIdnt help that Kumbulla constantly missed time with covid and other injuries which never gave him consistency.

I think a loan move to Torino would be good if they guarantee him playing time. On paper they got a decent squad. I also don’t know how much playing time Kumbulla will get if Mourinho goes with his traditional back 4 lineup.

Don't you think it's unusual for someone who looked so talented and had a massive price tag for such a young CB doing one season and already taking a step back? Sure, you're right, him playing for Torino doesn't mean he's any worse or better and he's still very young. But disappointed to see Roma reportedly think he isn't good enough after a season. As you said tho it might just be bullshit speculation, I don't see why they would do that for much older striker
