He's putting up good numbers in a decent level league. The Austrian League is ranked 8th best, certainly better than the Croatian league which was mentioned above.

We can't complain about Vrioni then have someone like Balaj or Seferi in the squad with 0 goals. What other options do people propse?

Broja starting, Cikalleshi backup. That's all you need. f*** even Manaj has proved more than Vrioni.

The goals are really good, not tap ins. 1st one, nice header, looks athletic jumping over his man like that. 2nd one dribbles through their whole defense. 3rd one is a great hit from distance.

He looks like he is easily better than that league and even outside the goals was everywhere.

2nd goal wasn’t all that..

One on one with the keeper and wastes the original chance by taking a horrible touch, dribbles past two pylons and then the goalie deflects it in.

Would I call him over Balaj or Sulejmanov? Sure. Do I believe he is a difference maker? No.

You don't just carry 2 STs in a squad. And in case of suspension/injury need someone not called Balaj. Oh and Cika is getting up there in age.

Damn nice goals, something about left footed strikers that just makes them look better.

By the time Cika retires, Vrioni will have had a chance to go to a better league. Not against him playing for us, just prove yourself first.

Most of Austrian league is no better than Spanish 3rd division where Manaj shined. 2-3 teams are Spanish 2nd division (Salihi's Rapid Vienna, LASK and Sturm Graz), and 1 is La Liga level (Red Bull).

But the point is Cikaleshi is probably worst than Vrioni and should be gone from the NT along with Balaj. Cikaleshi has been a medicore goal score in the Turkish first division for years and was considered a "core" player. I need to see more from Vrioni too as I still doubt he's more than a goal poacher (his latest match is encouraging) but I'd rather have him play than Cikaleshi. The crazy part is after Broja, he may just be our second best forward.

But the Turkish first division is on par with Premier League unlike the 3rd tier Austrian league lol

Everyone of these players is more or less on the same level right now. At least based on the level they play at.

Vrioni will have a chance in the future to grow and prove that he could be a level higher while Cika and Balaj are approaching the end of their careers. Right now Albania only has 1 striker. The rest remains to be seen.
