Cekici can shoot..
Just as good, if not better than Bajrami. Problem with these type of players is that they struggle with the physical side of the game. Not always the best fit for underdog like Albania who must be relentless defensively.

And speaking of that Cekici just pulled up an injury and will miss the NT games for sure.
Albanian players very brittle.

I wouldn’t say so, there’s just less quality players so when they get injured it hurts us more.
Xhaka for example is an absolute monster, one of the fittest players in the world .

What more can you expect from players who spend their free time on the beach, rather than in the gym?

Rexhbecaj too.
It's interesting that all these Germany based immigrants think they have a chance to play for Germany. Even Jurgen Gjasula had this mentality.
Maybe because Germany doesn't have known stars like France? It did work out for Mustafi I guess...

They probably feel it’s not worth it. Realistically, playing for Albania isn’t going to elevate their club career anymore now and it may be a risk for injuries. Albania gets tossed around by the likes of Israel so what’s the point.

“Do jemi mirë, fizikisht dhe mentalisht. Izraeli ka një skuadër të mirë. Të futemi në fushë me agresivitetin e duhur, por kemi nevojë edhe për shumë personalitet. Zgjedhjet do i bëj pasi të shoh lojtarët në stërvitje, në këtë betejë do luajnë ata që janë më në formë.” - Edi Reja
Keep your word Edi!

Mergim Berisha was important player of U21 and before he joined Fenerbahce was very near senior team but only thing that penalised him was playing on Austrian division.
