Why couldn’t our $20million super professional defenders stop Solomon from scoring?

Ismajli and Veseli are nowhere near super professionals though. You left Kumbulla on the bench. You can't afford to leave players like that on the bench even if it may seem like it's the right thing for the time.

This is why context matters.

Asllani now confirmed. Apparently they want kumbulla too, would love that

Not good enough to start over Gjasula though...

Lukaku : I spoke to Asllani, I like his mentality. He's a 20 year old but he speaks like a 27 year old.

Ismajli and Veseli warm the bench in Italy just like Kumbulla.

You are simply choosing between benchwarmers..

Salernitana and Roma benchwarmers are NOT created equal. There are levels.

One was bought for 30 million while the other for a bag of chips and a cocacola..!

Is there some difference between the benches at Salernitana and Roma? At the end of the day, none of these super professionals are in tiptop shape.

How many $20 million defenders and $10 million midfielders did Israel have in the lineup? Didn’t stop them from stifling the Albanian superstars though.

Football is a team game..

Why couldn’t our $20million super professional defenders stop Solomon from scoring?

Why did their “amateur” $500k valued defenders stifle our superstar attackers in our backyard?

Why did their “amateur” midfielders of combined $3million value win every duel over our superstars of $10million value (each) in midfield?

Why was Israel ($60million) favoured to win the group over Albania ($110million)?
I know it's not 100% accurate, but considering the most expensive teams are Spain, France, Germany, etc... and the cheapest teams are Andorra, San Marino, I'd say maybe there is something to those market values.

At full squad Albania is worth >100 million, but we're still playing like a 20 million dollar team with the likes of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Forgive me for being "overoptimistic".

One thing about Albania is that we’ve been imbalanced the past few years. Our value lied with our backline and keepers while this can be misleading as it seems like it todays game a strong backline can’t carry you like it used to. Plus you can’t really expect our backline to bunker for 90 minutes, it’s not fair to them.

We’ve been playing amateurs in key positions for years now. Your attackers and wingbacks can’t be amateurs in a 3-5-2 and also Hysaj is so out of position as a wingback for Albania that he practically is an amateur offensively. Then there’s the bizarre lineup choices (broja, Balliu, bajrami, kumbulla, etc) getting benched.

So essentially we’re a bit better than a team like Kazakhstan. Once we have a professional mentality from top to bottom and an organization that tries to play it’s best lineups and formations then we’ll see results.
