Kumbulla won't play another minute for Mourinho. That's an absolute humiliation. Beaten from pillar to post 6-1 by a tiny Norwegian team, Mourinho will not forget this and forget that Kumbulla played badly here, he needs to leave in January.

Yeah he definitely sealed his fate in Rome.

Hopefully he can go to a club that suits his style which is more defensive like Verona was. Roma is very attacking and need their CBs to be quick and technical. Just not his style.

You realize their starting GK and starting CB played too? Ibanez was literally letting people walk in front of him without marking them. They'll both start on the weekend.

Mourinho got coy with trying to put it too many subs. There's no excuse for only managing 1 goal either against a Norwegian team.

Simboli i Diellit wrote: Thu Oct 21, 2021 9:55 pm Muci has been decent so far. Rrahmani, Celhaka and Kastrati on bench.
Muci performance was very poor so far, winning one foul for 65 minutes it is not enough. He had two decent chances but both executed poorly.

Mourinho after the game against Juventus :

'There are benches (referring to Juventus bench) and then there are benches in Serie A. Today we played with 4 at the back, Karsdorp who was in doubt until the last moment, and the defenders I had on the bench were Reynolds, Kumbulla and Calafiori..." (Complaining he has nobody good on the bench i.e Kumbulla)

- Mourinho Post Match, proceeded by a long silence'

Can't compare Ibanez situation to Kumbulla who hasn't one minute in Serie A and got publicly shit on in their last press conference, he didn't even play, just Mourinho talking about how bad his subs are (Kumbulla and co) Ibanez has started most of the games so he has his trust already.

This was Kumbulla's chance to prove his worth to Mourinho, he started on very thin ice already as Mourinho didn't like him but now he has taken his biggest defeat ever as a manager and it's to a tiny Norwegian team Kumbulla's time in Rome is probably done.

Not saying it is his fault. He hasn't had any continuity at all or given consistent minutes and a fair chance to prove himself but this is just the reality that Mourinho will probably bin him now, if he wasn't already.

^ Exactly. Ibanez doesn't need to prove himself against Norwegian farmers. He's a well established player and will be a Brazil international soon. I bet you anything on that.

Someone who has everything to play for was Kumbulla and he was horrendous on the ball and off the ball.

Kumbulla should have never went to Roma in the first place. Said this the second he transferred there.

But this loss is on Mourinho. A team getting destroyed 6-1 by a side who most of your individual players have a higher market value than is a failure of organization/motivation.

That makes 0 sense. If he's a starter he's allowed to be garbage? That's just being arbitrary based on pecking order, which was already established before Kumbulla even got there.

All this arguing for a finished manager .

We saw Kumbullas level vs Lewandowski, Mourinho just isn’t at it anymore , I didn’t watch the game and I don’t care for Roma if I’m honest, it’s a poorly built squad , sooner he leaves the better.

Not sure if allowed is the correct word but he definitely has created space for himself to be judged. Lets not forget that Conference is a 3rd tier competition. Ibanez gets judged based on what he does in Serie A vs Juve, Lazio, Inter, etc...

Maybe unfair but that's the game. Will you judge Cristiano Ronaldo if he plays like shit in the FA Cup against some 3rd league competition? Hell no because he has bigger fish to fry and has proved himself.

Conference league means everything for Kumbulla because it's the only competition he can play in and prove himself.

Well it wasn't as bad as it is for him under Mourinho but let's not forget his time with Fonseca was not roses either and most of the time he found himself on the bench.
