I remember making a thread in the old forums of potential players that should be capped up for the NT and everyone would give suggestions. Many of those players were called up. Maybe we should do the same and who knows may some one at FSHF will give our database a look.

That's not a disqualifier. We already have players like Lila & Hyka who are starting games for the NT and they're not NT material and never were.artan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2017 2:16 amGranted some of these players aren't nowhere near NT material atm (nor will half ever be) but you have to poach players when they're young.. I also think someone like Nedim Bajrami can possibly start for us right away. Zhegova looks like an interesting player although I've never heard of him before making this thread

Most of these don't even look like u21 material.
It's amazing how significantly the diaspora talent has dried up so quickly. There was a time when we were debating about the Xhakas and Shaqiris but now the diaspora can't even give out another Abrashi.
Wouldn't be surprised if in recent years the Swiss FA has stagnated the advancement of Kosovar youth there on purpose. There was a big debate on players switching back then so they have probably given up on them. Makes a lot of sense.

That's because the previous generation were poached up quickly by Switzerland. Guys like Xhaka and Shaq are only like 24 - 25 although it feels like they've been around forever. The next generation of Swiss diaspora players look somewhat promising (the 18-20 years old bracket). Bajrami, Aliu and Zeqiri look like they have potential to be good pros. There's probably some players in swiss youth academies that are unknown currently and will break out.Dallku wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2017 6:51 pm Most of these don't even look like u21 material.

As for other countries the talent was there but the FSHF was always late. Rashica (not diaspora), Zeneli, Avdijaj, Bardhi, Alioski, etc. You gotta poach them young.

Loret Sadiku can play for us as CB , he has already clearance by FIFA and could be used netx to games . He also is quite good in midfield.

Wasn't he going to play for Kosova? If he's not allowed to play for them why would be able to play for us?Simboli i Diellit wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2017 11:45 pm Loret Sadiku can play for us as CB , he has already clearance by FIFA and could be used netx to games . He also is quite good in midfield.
But anyways I remember when we were interested in him like 4 years ago but he rejected us. And we do need some cover in the midfield..

I wouldn't mind Lilaj. He seems comfortable with the ball and looks like a decent distributor. He seems like someone that could play the same role that Kukeli and Basha does. Another player from Skenderbeu we should keep tabs on is Gavazaj. I think he's poised to break out and I think he has more potential than both Grezda and Latifi.

He had an agreement with the FA to play for us for a moment but in future to switch to Kosova. He switched from Sweden to Albania and during that period Kosova was going to get recognized from FIFA so he stayed there hoping to get another switch which FIFA denied because you can switch only once at senior level. Albania was his second choice without doubt and that's the case with most of our diaspora players we have in our team. Even Mavraj was waiting a Germany callup for some years . I've seen some Sadiku games in Turkey and althrough he can be a good CB he def is better that any midfielder we have atm. His game vision and ball controll makes him look like CR7 compared to Lila/Kukeli/ Basha/ Abrashi. Sadiku can play only for Albania even though he hasn't played a single minute for us , weird FIFA rulesartan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 1:25 amWasn't he going to play for Kosova?
