Fielding a bunch of midgets against an opponent like Poland is suicide.

Reja inserted Memolla in the midfield to add some size against England. Gjasula got the start in a win over Ingolstadt last night so he may be an option as well.

Midfielders and wing players aren't usually that tall. Tall midfielders are rare. Everyone else there is >6 feet.

Albania is coming off a convincing loss to a similar opponent with a lot of size.

Reja had put out a short lineup with Bare (listed generously at 1.74m) and Abrashi (1.72m) in midfield and we went on to get bullied into allowing 3 goals.

Czech midfielders were Soucek (1.92m) and Kral (1.85m). Much alike are the Polish combination of Krychowiak (1.87m) and Klich (1.83m).

Time to learn from our mistakes and make the proper adjustments. Poland is a big team that plays well in the air and will impose their will physically.

We can't just put Gjasula on for the f*** of it. Dude caved under pressure from Belarus or whatever, let alone Poland.

Problem with Poland is that the ball gets glued to their feet. Zielinski is amazing.

Abrashi is seriously injured and will miss again. Albania is very thin and weak in central midfield that's why I was hoping they'd give Xhaka another chance. Now we have to rely on washed Gjasula on his last legs and 2nd division caliber players like Laci.

Reja is also a dinosaur who still plays an archaic form of a 3-5-2. He will continue starting two holding forwards and a very conservative midfield. Unfortunately, for us this means that Cikaleshi, Manaj, Balaj, Seferi and Vrioni are his top options because they fit the mold of a holding forward. Then a midfield trio who are poor offensively and wingbacks who can't get forward. This is why we lose games and it's not because we lack size.

Place a 2-0 correct score bet on Poland. It's the best way to deal with these losses.

What I've suggested for months. Reja knows that in order to qualify he needs professional players and central midfield is looking weak.

It won't matter since Reja will continue to start the two of Manaj, CIkaleshi, Balaj or Vrioni at the forward spots and the wingback spot opposite of Hysaj is still a mess. Reja refuses to call up Balliu or play a more attacking player in that role and we'll probably see Veseli or Doka again. Reja has not shown any adoptability or balls to tinker with the lineup.

I also think Xhaka is a Abrashi replacement and the holding midfielder will continue to be either Gjasula or Ramadani.

Reja has proven to be unpredictable. He fielded three attackers against England but only two at San Marino. :zgerdhimje:
