I’m guessing along the years Switzerland has medaled in soccer resulting in the number being inflated.

The sad part is it looks Valiev could've gotten gold and a shit ref decision made him lose by 1 point. Fidel Ylli said they apologized for the ref decision but they can't go back.

From what I found. Not sure if he meant medals overall, or just olympic medals. Elis Guri for example won the World Championship but it wasn't during olympics.
