Argentina and Croatia... Two proud and traditional countries are in the semi finals.

All these "international" teams are getting knocked out one by one... Netherlands looks more like a club than a NT nowadays. They looked better when the true Dutch players were subbed in the 2nd half. At least they played with heart.

Don't think it's a coincidence either... England is next.

Netherlands aren’t a hugely talented team and losing to Argentina isn’t an embarrassment unlike Brazil which is supposed to beat Croatia.

But when it comes to knockout matches and especially for international matches team continuity, mentality and experience matters huge. A team like Croatia has been put in this situation so many times and has tons of experience grinding results to penalties. They also have “dawgs” who will fight it out and don’t shit them selves (opposite of Spain, Brazil, Germany, etc)

A team like Brazil doesn’t have that experience and they don’t have that continuity in players because there’s always new players emerging for them.

The reason no other Balkan team can do what they do is because they don't have those players.

We are working with relegation team bench midfielders whilst they have Modric Brozovic and Kovacic there. Don't get me wrong, their mentality is great, but at the same time it's not really fair to compare the other Balkan teams to them (except maybe Serbia who despite having great talent always bottle it).
While I agree their midfield is what separates them they got solid contribution from their Dinamo Zagreb players.

I don't ever expect Albania to have a world class midfield or any elite players but there's no reason why Albania shouldn't be producing some competitive players like Petkovic, Livakovic, Majer, Orsic, etc.
There are definitely players of that quality in Albania, we just dont have a dinamo zagreb to cultivate that talent. Skenderbeu couldve been that for us, shame about the 10 year ban.

This just sounds like some Princ level racism. France won the last world cup made up of mostly African descent players, before that Germany with again had a fairly immigrant-heavy squad with guys like Ozil and Khedira being key players.

Don't stoop that low to peddle far right talking points. Remember who we are.

“An Argentine is an Italian who speaks Spanish, thinks he's French, and would secretly like to be British.”

Wow so relatable to Albanians. Totally not like Western Europe at all.

I don't have to go to mountain Everest to know it's tall.

South Americans in general are closer to Eastern Europeans in mentality than Western. You see how Argentinians are dominating in every stadium? They are hardcore nationalists

Gani Abazi football is still very effective if you have the right players, both Croatia and Morocco are playing it.
