But we have severely underperformed under Reja, he hasn’t pulled out one result you can look at and say that was impressive. Barely managed to beat the small teams, played the most boring football and never got results against anyone at our level or higher. Could never pull off a shock result. You can point to Hungary but that was a combination of Broja saving his ass (he started Balaj) and our defence just being much more talented than their attack.

Poland and England wiped the floor with us as has most other good teams, then don’t get me started on him not getting a single win vs Iceland and Israel who are not more talented than us. Just a shit coach and I’m glad it’s over.

Hungary is an overachieving, more disciplined/professional Albania with a way better mentality.

Talent wise they are mediocre. They might be even worse than Albania. After their 0-1 loss even their coach Marco Rossi said that Albania has better players.

Yeah it's called being a team. This is not an individual sport.

And yet if you look at all the groups, leagues, etc you'll notice that the teams with the more individual talent are the ones who eventually advance and win 99% of the time.

A "good team" like a Saudi Arabia might get an upset because of their teamwork... sure.... but they are still going home because they lack the individual quality to replicate that upset and stay consistent.

Hungary has more teamwork and spirit than Poland could ever dream of... and yet Poland is in the world cup knockouts while Hungary is watching them from home.

There are countless teams with good players that horribly underperform. No one is saying that individual quality doesn't matter. But it's just 1 factor of many.

Italy can win the EUROs one time, and fail to qualify the other.

Fernando Rapallini of Argentina will referee the match between Serbia and Switzerland..

Thousands of Kosovars will be watching live from Pristina City Hall when Aleksandar the Great puts it past Sommer to send Switzerland packing.

"Pristina City Hall is to organize a big screening, and thousands are to attend," Rexha said. "The game will be watched closely all around Kosovo, including Shaqiri's birthplace, Gjilan, where flags are raised high when he plays."

Man what happened to Germany? Out in the group stage...

Ervin Skela said that they lost their identity. From the start of the tournament they seemed more focused on promoting political messages than playing... and their team is now a full mulato/immigrant legion.

Happy for the proud Spaniards and Japanese who have both kept their identity.

I think the theme in International play is that if you don't have star talent (France, Brazil, England) then you must have a clear identity as a team and a squad that has "dawgs" in it. Usually, these successful smaller teams will be relentless at pressuring the opponent for the entire match or be extremely fast and physical even if they these teams are technically poor. Some of these teams are perfect examples of that. Germany looks like a poor version of their 2014 self but they don't have the talent to play like that, Denmark and Poland are teams that don't know what they are, Wales is a team that looks okay on paper but are just absolutely terrible and can't do anything right (I think Reja's Albania might even beat them), etc.

It's why Albania since Di Biasi left have been a mess. With Reja we don't have pace, width, aggression or technical ability. It's a mid table Serie B squad just floating like dead wood.
