Don't think we have a chance even if Portugal lose. No?

Albania is 99% out. The 1% is Hungary beating Portugal and of course Italy/Belgium not losing.
It has been a positive tournament. At least we were competitive and made a positive impression to foreigners which was the key for me. Could've done better of course and choked Albanian style but also we could've done much worse. Keep that in mind.

Cant believe how low the bar some people have is. As long as someone farts, then the campaign is a success. This entire campaign was a massive chokefest.
Latvia in 04 qualified and with a tougher system, and faded into obscurity. Slovenia got 1 win + 1 draw in World Cup 2010, and have been irrelevant since. We qualified in a watered down system with a drone, and have choked over and over. What does Northern Ireland have over us as a team? Or Hungary? Or even Iceland that has bossed since qualifiers and knocked Holland out.
The only good takeaway broadly speaking is now these choke artists wont have the pressure of qualifying for a major tournament again. Other than that, Ajeti's rise was the only thing surprising about this team.

^ So what is your point exactly, that we should have higher expectations because we're going to fade into obscurity? We arguably have a much deeper talent pool than either Latvia or Slovenia.
If you think this was a massive failure then you need a reality check, Andi fuckin' Lila started against France and Romania. It was an achievement and hopefully a learning process. At the end of the day we did better than Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Romania and every team that didn't qualify. It could've been much much worse.
If you really think about, if we would've went further we would've had to get used to Lila and Lenjani being our wingers for the next two + years (hope that still won't be the case).

A team where Andi Lila is a legitimate option as a starter has no business even sniffing a major tournament.
You can't really blame these players for being neurotic messes on the field when fans have such unrealistic expectations.

Not me, I went to France expecting 3 losses. I am over the moon with our performances.
This is what it's all about for me. Sorry for the potato quality it was late at night after the Romania victory

Step by step. This was a good learning experience, especially to improve the mentality and FSHF.

He is a legitimate option only because DB makes him so. Any other coach would have left him out and brought Rashica. Hysaj, Ajeti, Mavraj all play in Top Leagues ffs. Berisha, Cana, Lenjani, Roshi, Basha, even Lila have all played at some point too. Memushaj and Abrashi will next season. If you compare Hungary's squad to ours it's barely 60-70% of our quality.Pjetër wrote:A team where Andi Lila is a legitimate option as a starter has no business even sniffing a major tournament.
If Pep's Barca or Heynckes' Bayern knock you around and rape you, that's different than actually having chance after chance to progress and failing to hard. The reason we suck at football is because the expectation is always "as long as you don't get embarrassed, that's a success".
If I had to rate the qualifiers it would be a 7.5/10, and the EUROs themselves a 4/10. Not because of points or anything, but the way we played these 3 games. It's not about the final result but how you get there. When your players miss open shots over and over, that's not a success.

Some people seem to forget that only a few months ago the midfield general was a certain ancient God called Bulku. We introduced Azerbaijani football league "talents" to the euros.
So chill the Fvck up. This has been nothing but a huge success in every aspect. We left Serbia at home with memories of a certain flag hovering above their heads even now as I speak. For 2 weeks all Albanians left their massive problems and actually showed the world how to support and have fun. We popped the cherry, should get better after each time now. Players and fans alike will want this instead of selling games and doing crazy shit. Majority of Europe didn't even know we had a team. Boy do they know now.
I'm cherishing this as an event I never expected in my lifetime and has exceeded all my expectations even considering the luck factor that we didn't have. Nothing but joy and hope for the next one
