Albanian teams in Europe 2015-2016!

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

Skenderbeu's finishing was poor but at least they could create chances pretty easily. Of course they had offensive players who are not comparable to these of Partizani's. Bernard Berisha, Olayinka, Latifi, Progni. and their central mids who also help in attack.( Lilaj, Esquerdinha(who just moved to Maritimo), Nimaga, Shkembi etc..)

We took that team for granted imo.
Skenderbeu has been playing CL for 6 years now. Partizani found out they were going to play Ferencvaros two weeks before and had no way to prepare for CL. Despite all that they did very well imo. Hopefully they use this campaign to build on it and make a run for the title.

I don't know why LedZep has it out for Fili. The kid is 20 years old and has played pro football for like a year. And out of these 5 games, Skenderbeu scored 1 goal, which was his, and forced the own goal. Torassa, Vila, Ekanda, etc... didn't score a single goal. Red Bull Salzburg is also worth more than our NT. When I look at Vila, who is the "professional" one, I see a garbage player with 0 talent. This dude is legit too shit for Albanian league. All he can do is run. Fili has all the time in the world to improve. He might not, but he has the chance to.

Anyhow, if anyone ever sees a player take random pot shots from 30 meters out for any team, please say so, so we can cross them off NT radar. These players suffer from low iq even though they might look "good". I'm talking about the Lilajs and Trashis.

Skenderbeu last year probably had the best team that no one will ever have in Albanian league unlike if someone inject some big money.

Partizani had more or less a good campain in Champions League and now i hope they can get an easy opponent in Europa League play-off.

Skenderbeu is Duka's project, it's got nothing to do with injecting money. They had guaranteed CL football for 5 years in a row and this year would have been the 6th had it not been for UEFA. Duka and Co don't give a shit about football they care only about enriching themselves and he hit the jackpot by getting the top football job. He is just another gangster in the Gangsterland we call Albania. Thank f*** we have diaspora players carrying us at the NT level as we are producing 0 talents nowadays.

Partizani wasn't bad at all, they just were toothless in attack. I thought they still have Mazrekaj and Sukaj. Those two could've done more damage than the ones that played.

^ I agree that Mazrekaj and Sukaj would've been a massive upgrade. Maybe Fejzullahu too(not sure if he can play LB but Atanda was a disaster there-- not his natural position obviously).

Owner, Fili is a mid-table Albanian league player. For teams like Teuta, Flamurtari, Tirana he would be useful but not for a team aspiring to make it to the Euro group stages. He's a very harmless attacker and that goal he scored was pure luck. Ekuban, Vila and Torasa were all frustrating but you could tell they were a class above Fili.

As for shooting those crazy long range shots yeah, it's annoying but it depends on the position, situation and momentum. Trashi doing it was brutal because he was always way off. His set pieces were utter shit too. I've seen Lilaj come close and force some corners but yeah, he shouldn't try so many of them. Kace is another dude who tries a lot of long range shots and misses badly.

Interesting that in the post-match interview with Valon Berisha he said that he was very impressed with Trashi. Can we still grab Berisha for the NT?

Valon Berisha is capped for Norway. Trashi is low IQ. He plays OK, and then shoots the ball from 40 meters out with 0 chance of it reaching the target, even though he has tons of options. I mean over and over. He never learns.

These players never succeed in higher levels. You can't waste those few chances like that.

That goal wasn't luck as he got other similar chances by pressuring defenders (which he should've scored). Even the own goal came from pressuring the Hungarian defender. As I said, the kid just turned 20. He's only been playing with Partizani since February, and is already a starter.

He could totally flop like every other Albo, but he has tons of room to grow. I could see him being a squad player in the NT 4-5 years from now.

The Play-Off Draw doesn't seem good either. Lot's of good teams. Partizani with the worst seeding.

Guaranteed Defeat: Shaktar Donetsk, Olympiacos, Anderlecht, AZ, Fenerbhace, Krasnodar, PAOK, Panathinaikos, Genk, Gent, Saint Etienne, West Fucking Ham, Sassuolo

Likely Defeat: Sparta Prague, Austria Wien, Rapid Wien

Can MAYBE scrap something: Maccabi Tel Aviv, BATE, Maribor

Dream draw: Slovan Liberec, Qarabag, Mudikioijyllaihpnd
