Terrible what happened to Dehari. May he rest in Peace. Doubt they'll ever solve this case.

Maybe I'm spoiled by listening to American hip hop but I'll never understand how people can listen to Albanian hip hop.
Going from Nas and Method Man to some of these Albanian hip hop geeks is a huge drop off.

Depends how much you're into Albanian music overall. I listen to all kinds of Albanian music, from Heavy metal to Tallava so it's just a matter of Preference.

Is prog rock a thing in Albania? I'd check that out.

That's a little too broad of a genre. I feel that the best Albanians bands are in Kosove. The best Rock band I'd say is Jericho and my fave song is Tomlin e Nanes (think Vata10 posted the lyrics somewhere)Pjetër wrote:Is prog rock a thing in Albania? I'd check that out.

I also Like Djemte E Detit from Simboli's hometown, Bojken Lako and Ritfolk (defunct for over a decade now)

I used to think like that when i was younger, but now i struggle to inderstand how some people listen to American over Albanian music.Pjetër wrote:Maybe I'm spoiled by listening to American hip hop but I'll never understand how people can listen to Albanian hip hop.

I would much rather here someone talk about the effects of the war, corruption and general issues we fsce today then some American rap about cars, clothes or the so called 'meaningful' ones who rap about 'the struggle'.

I never cared about lyrics being "meaningful". With the exception of like Jim Morrison I think most musicians are dreadful poets.
Also for the most part musicians are intellectual lightweights so I don't really care what they think about social issues.

But then again Yes is one of my favorite bands and I can never make heads or tails out of what Jon Anderson is talking about. So what do I know.
