Albanians abroad

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

As they shouldn't. These countries have their own teams and it's only right that their products/diaspora play for them. Albania should focus on its own diaspora and especially developing its own players domestically.
Lol.. no. We never would have made it to EUROs without Kosovar diaspora. In our entire backline the only one from Albania was Hysaj.
That's irrelevant because there was no Kosovo then. Now they have their team and it's only right that Kosovars should play for them.

And about the qualification... let's be honest, those 3 points CAS gave us helped a bit and so did Duka buying out Armenia lol :lol2:
What the hell is a kosovare ? I only know of Albanians from kosove.

Albania , Kosove , same shit . They both represent us Albanians but one plays under a flag that isn’t ours .

If there was ever a situation to buy a match, that would be the one. I heard it was the goalie Kasparov and two of their defenders who flopped.

Anyways, it takes nothing away from the win over Portugal and the solid performances against Denmark. Although Roshi and Balaj scored the goal against Portugal, it was the midfield and defense that held their own to ensure we left with 3 points. Both of those departments were made up mostly of Kosovar diaspora and our success under De Biasi would be impossible without those players.

We are now starting to see the reality of life with no Kosovar diaspora and it’s been rough. It pains me to think of our NT comprised mostly of Albanian superliga players but seems it will be inevitable at this point.

A 10-men Albania(with mostly Albania products) held a fully stacked/motivated Portuguese team to a 0-0 draw away in 2008. That was Portugal with Ronaldo and co. https://www.11v11.com/matches/portugal- ... 08-283609/

Albania right now is actually much more talented and has more potential than the team that qualified to the Euros.

Cana and Beqaj were playing in that game lol. And if you look at those two games, we actually played pretty well in 2016. We were deserved winners.

In 2008, we played hard, but there was way too much luck involved. That's a 1 in 100 match.

Only 2 Kosovars as opposed to half the team like in 2016... that's why I said mostly.

And compare the Portuguese team of 2008 with the one in 2016. Huge difference.. Of course we had luck. Albania was down a man for huge minutes.

It's a country in europe that's recognized by most of the world and organizations.

That's why they have a NATIONAL TEAM and they embrace it as they should. Kosovars should play ONLY for Kosovo (unless they opt for their adopted countries)

What? I'm talking about reality. Reality has you divided.

You're romanticizing and fantasizing about nationalistic scenarios that are irrelevant to what's happening.

The irony with you is that if you don't recognize Kosovo and its national team as a real then you actually start to sound like your so called enemy (the Serbs).

Nope , I can recognise Kosove obviously but then be smart enough not to talk about them like they’re just another country who we’re competing with .

And yes I’m a romantic when it’s comes to hopefully being United one day because it’s what we deserve .

Lets be real then we shouldn't accept Kumbulla, Hysaj, Gjasula or Broja for the NT. They should be playing for Italy, Germany and England, respectively.
