Deserves a call up at least, let's see what he has, Balaj was useless in this league & Seferi can't even score on Superliga.

Maybe he will surprise and be starting quality.

Vrioni has 7 goals in 10 games. Balaj scored 9 goals in three years in the same league.

Salihi was pounding in like 20 something goals a year there. Most of that league is Albanian level.

Most of this dudes goals are penalties and tap ins like Manaj.

Uzuni and Muci also scored. Kamberi scores a bunch in the English 3rd division.

All these players have something in common. Right now they are playing in third tier level and you don't know if their game translates to international level which is more professional.

Sure you can make a case that Vrioni is better than Seferi but does he make the team better??

Unless they play in top 4-6 leagues these players are impossible to take seriously. The only way to prove people wrong is if they move to better leagues and actually do well there.

Kumbulla starting against Genoa.

Looks like Mourinho is experiment with a 3 men backline which gives Kumbulla more chances.

The Austrian league improved a lot since Salihi played there and there's been many excellent exports, including a lot of top4 league players who came from there.

He has 8 league goals in hardly 700 minutes of game. That's impressive no matter how you spin it, and the Austrian league isn't that bad. Not a top league but on par with like a Dutch.

He plays for a relegation team also making it more impressive. His hat trick came against the 2nd in the league that won 5 games in a row before today.

Ridiculous to say that he doesn't merit a call over Seferi who can't even score on the Superliga.

I doubt he'll continue to score so frequently but if he ended with 15-20 league goals, it would be impressive. Injuries forbidding he should.

Austrian league is similar to Croatian. They have one team (Red Bull Salzburg) which is worth nearly half of the whole league's value. They absolutely dominate it. The rest is an amateur fest. You can see it in Vrioni's highlights at how bad that league is.

Seferi actually has 3 goals and 3 assists in 8 games in the Albanian league while playing as a winger. Again, Albanians are gods when playing against farmers. We'll never be competitive or qualify unless we have more professionals.

It's not that hard for Vrioni to be called up. Just go to a better league and prove yourself. That's it. Even something like Turkish/Russian league would be better than Austria.

Problem with this 3 in the back Roma is playing that it limits them offensively. Ibanez and Mancini are supposed to start attacks but they are not doing it. They ball just goes back to Kumbulla who probably had the most touches out of all Roma players.
