So? Skenderbeu was created in 2010 ;)

I'm not going to ruin your parade. Skenderbeu e ka të mërkurën according to Uefa. Great result! I watched the game and will be posting my thoughts a little later.
I just saw that. The commentator said next Tuesday. I assumed he knew his shit...guess not.

Will Skenderbeu be the first Albanian team to play in European competitions (if they go through)?

I wonder if the Moldovians sold out their match. Look at Salihi's assist on the first goal. The ball was rolling at like 4 mph right in front of the defender and he let it pass by without even trying to intercept it.

Maybe, but I'm still not gonna complain. Going from a seller to a purchaser is still a huge improvement.

Anybody know the teams Skenderbeu will likely face in the next round if they go through?

Yes, Skenderbeu was also a PK shootout away from making the EL stages back in 2013/14.

Congrats to Skenderbeu though. Easily the most professional team in Albania. Every other team fires their manager midway in the season and reshuffles their whole first team with random Superliga players every summer. You need to spend the money to keep your core together and that's what they did with Shkembi, Shehi, Lilaj, Berisha, Latifi, Vangjelli, NImanga, Arapi, etc. Their starting lineup today was basically the same lineup they used all year last year with the exception of Salihi and the Brazilian dude and many of the guys have been on the team for a few consecutive years. Good scouting by them for signing the Kosovar Superliga players who payed huge dividends on their success this past year.

The other Superliga teams don't seem to grasp that concept. Ex partizan fired Duro in 2013 then rehires him in 2014.

But the prize money for the Champions league and even the Europa league is insane. Look at the CL prize money
First Qualifying Round: €200,000
Second Qualifying Round: €300,000
Third Qualifying Round: €400,000
Play-offs Eliminated: €3,000,000
Play-offs Winners: €2,000,000
Base fee for group stage: €12,000,000
Group match victory: €1,500,000
Group match draw: €500,000
Round of 16: €5,500,000
Quarter-finals: €6,000,000
Semi-finals: €7,000,000
Losing finalist: €10,500,000
Winning the Final: €15,000,000
Even if Skenderbeu gets eliminated in the playoffs they still would have earned nearly 4million euros. That's not including the money they'd receive in the Europa league. They could build elbasan arena with that money
