Asani is a special case and not comparable to any other player, with any other coach he might've not been called, Sylvinho called him up trusted him with a starting spot and he repaid his trust with fantastic performances for the NT.

Sylvinho gave chance also to Mehmeti, Muja, Mucolli but it was Asani who capitalised more than anyone else. Players who were left out as Uzuni and Bare, had so many chances in their national team career to perform but they never did it or Cikalleshi you can't compare him with Broja, he never won us games as Broja did in both games with Hungary.

Let’s go Albania!

Only thing I'm saddened about with Uzuni is that we only have 2 products of the Superliga (Muci the other) playing at a high level and Uzuni's the only one in a top 4 league.

We're back to the diaspora scraps... In 2016 it was mostly Kosovar diaspora, which have been cut by like 90%. Now thankfully we have some other ex-Yugo territory Albos like Djim, Bajrami, and even Asani (to his credit he was crucial for qualifying), but those won't last long.

What happens when the RA diaspora like Broja/Kumbulla/Asllani run dry too...

Instead of trying to predict the future after the Euros we should enjoy the Euros, Broja, Kumbulla and Asllani will still be around in the coming decade

AB starting today!

Get some minutes under his belt and hopefully a goal to boost that confidence ahead of the tourney!

Asani ruining every single attack! Hard to watch this player.

Other than that everyone else is playing well. Gjasula in that holding role is interesting.

If Broja could get a hattrick here, it'd be great. What happened to Ramadani, I didn't watch from the start.

Broja has been good but you can see him getting lazier and breathing harder as the first half went on. His fitness is probably not there to play big minutes.

Arber Hoxha has been positive. At the very least he's direct and always looks to create something instead of mindless back passing.

Gjasula very good. Unlike Ramadani his touch and passing is crisp.

Nice goal AB!

Happy for him! Hopefully this gives him the confidence boost needed to tear it up in Germany!
