A decade ago, Albania gave problems to Portugal, France, Denmark, Serbia, Norway, but just could not beat Switzerland.

Why?

Our players looked up to and idolized those guys!

Albanians today are reserves to Italians where they play, just as the players back then were second choice to the Swiss guys. There is a special dynamic at play here..

Just as Switzerland was our kryptonite in the De Biasi era, Italy is our kryptonite now! You could see it coming from a mile away! I called it way before the start of the tourney. Bad matchup! Simple as..

Important thing is that the boys are improving so the results will come! Just give it a bit of time!

The Swiss Albos being seen as heroes and idols (even today) is so pathetic.

Once that stops happening that's when you know Albanians have evolved and results will come.

True. Xhaka and Shaqiri and the others made their choices. They chose their diaspora countries over the homeland.

Which is fine, they can make whatever decision they want, but they aren't Albanian footballers anymore, they are Swiss and representing them. They have nothing to do with us anymore and we shouldn't be celebrating their achievements.

Things won't improve until Albania starts to produce talented footballers, if it wasn't for the Diaspora and Kosovë, Albania wouldn't have qualifed for the Euros at all

Look how Slovakia are beating England simply by staying aggressive and pressing them high. Totally neutralised them completely even with how many world-class stars they have.

Slovakian team is staying focused and not panicking, staying aggressive throughout and continuing with their pressing plan. No emotion just focus.

Albanian footballers are too emotional.

I mean at the last minutes it makes sense to play like that and they ran out of gas too. England still had to score a last second bicycle kick to draw them so they should be proud.

These are the real honorable losses if there are such.

Slovakia were unlucky, lost to a last minute bicycle kick, regardless, that performance still shows how you can be competitive with top teams with aggressive play.

The more this tourney goes on, the more pissed off I'm becoming at both Sylvinho and the players.

It would've been great for Albania to pass the group stage, but you're overreacting here. See how Slovenia's most promising talent in 20 years fumbled on that one-on-one chance with the keeper vs Portugal. Georgia, Slovenia, Slovakia and Romania were lucky to have been drawn in easy groups and all of them were very lucky to pass the group stage
