Roshi is the only player to bench Lila and now that he's hurt... Lets hope Di Biasi decides to play Lenjani on the right instead as I don't see Meha getting a start provided if Gashi starts on the left. Memushaj can fill in on the right too as he definitely has the work rate and defensive qualities DB looks for.

If Roshi is out then I would play Memushaj or Vajushi on the right. Preferably Memushaj because of his defense and stamina but Vajushi can expose their defense with his runs and distance shooting.

is it just me or do you guys think meha should start?
If has always had a Impact when playing for Albania, he's only played 6 games (not full games)
And hes managed to score 2 and assist 3, whereas as kukeli and abrashi combined with 19 games have no goals and no assist.
Don't get me wrong I like these players! And I understand they are more defensive but I believe playing meha or even rama will help against Armenia because I can't see us being lucky again with our defence team.

Berisha
Hysaj cana Mavraj xhaka
Rama kace meha Roshi
Balaj gashi

Very unlikely formation but I'd be over the moon with this!
Strong defence!
Rama, kace, meha and Roshi all fast play makers to provide for balaj and gashi.

If Roshi is out, then I would play Meha in the right. He's been decent defensively in Bundesliga on the wing, I think he can manage against Armenia. We need a more technical player for this match, if Armenia parks the plane.

P.S. Rama is in the bench in Bundesliga II. He's not going through a good form .I would bring him as a simple squad player.

Kukeli and Abrashi have no goals and assists because they are defensive players who clog the midfield, interrupt runs and they do a pretty good job at that. I do agree that starting Meha would be really beneficial but in an attacking position rather than defensive midfield. I'm not sure about Rama as he has been struggling and is on the bench lately in the 2. Bundesliga, not exactly in form right now. We can afford to play some offensive players against Armenia but we have to find a balance so we don't get caught off guard on a counter attack.

I know they are defensive midfielders but hysaj manage to assist a goal for Mavraj, anyway I like kukeli and abrashi they work hard and do their job correctly. I just struggle to see us beating armenia comfortabley like alot of our fan are assassuming. They only just lost to Denmark and portugal away and they would have beat Serbia if they scored their penalty.
Armenia are dangerous, great keeper regardless his age, their attack isn't too strong but ours is also weak 3 goals in the last 5. I don't think we can afford to play defensively again.

That's what I've been saying the entire time. We need to play offensively and distance ourselves from the bunker for at least a half in order to take advantage of the opposition's defense this time around. However, we can't get away from our identity as a team which is a defensive-oriented team led by a defensive coach with not the best selection of attackers available. Basically, our defense makes our team and that is what we do best, but it would be nice to see something new especially against a team like Armenia.

I think part of the problem lies with Di Biasi in not calling these guys up during the last set of friendlies. These guys have been on the NT for 2+ years now and we still don't know how they fit into the NT. Granted Meha has been injured at times and he has been given starts but Gashi hasn't had real burn to prove himself. If they were tested in the France + Italy friendlies we'd may know a bit more..

With the way DB wants this team to play I don't see Meha being a starter atm. He wants a high work rate defensive cloggers centrally and pacey + defensive willing players to work the flank relentlessly. His strategy is press the opponent, clog the middle and counter attack through the flanks quickly. Rarely do we have build up play. Meha is a technical player who isn't that gifted physically nor has the work rate of other players in the NT and this is pretty much a no-no for Di Biasi. It's probably the same reason Vajushi never sees the field(he's fast but not that willing to track back defensively). That's why I also think we'll see Gashi in the lineup now as he's shown that he's very willing to track back defensively and Di Biasi can't use that excuse anymore.

But that being said there's no reason why Meha shouldn't start as there will be enough defensive coverage in the lineup. Meha above two defensive midfielders with some goon that DB deploys on the right(Lila most likely) and with Gashi or Lenjani on the left is more than enough coverage against Armenia. It would be a crime to start Lila against Armenia when they have FC Pyunik and Vardar Skopje defenders.

For me, DB can put Xhaka as a striker for all I care as long as Lila is nowhere near the starting 11.
