Hello all! Not optimistic at all for this game. However, we can walk this with this line up

I'm thinking the same thing. We know how to play when we are the underdogs and we've become decent at it too. But we haven't seen a DB team play when we are considered the favorites and especially against a team that we should assume will throw everything at us with an amateur backline. I don't know if we should sit back and try to let the armenian backline stay high then burn them on the counter with Roshi, Lenjani, Gashi, etc, or do we try to actually attack them(something we have never done)Shpati wrote:It's going to be interesting. Armenia is definitely going to come on and just attack. Does Albania attack their weak defense and leave themselves more prone to the counterattack? On the other hand, if Albania treats them like they did Portugal and Denmark, they aren't exposing Armenia's biggest weakness.
Oddly, this is De Biasi's most tricky game. Portugal and Denmark were sort of simple (just keep 11 guys behind the ball and hope they fck up).
I grew a little more optimistic since Armenia's coach basically said they are going to go full attack for 3 points so he doesn't get fired. Albania should have an easier time countering. I think that Italy friendly showed the best way to beat Albania. You don't play with such a high pace, just keep it slow and organized. Force Albania to actually play some football on their own(which they aren't good at), don't do them any favors.
I don't think we should make dramatic changes at this stage. However, do the obvious of having no Lila as a winger, put in Gashi, etc.
When DB says he knows how to stop Armenia I think he just means to clog the middle and give no space to Mhrkytchan who's very average when he doesn't have space.
Good lineup Berit
PS, the game is not on ESPN 3 ughh

Us in UK no longer have to suffer with streams since before serbia. Skysports shows all Albania games. They show via interactive all international games on the day live with sky commentary

Apparently Lenjani has been left out for this match.

Agolli probably is better as a defender vs Armenia than Lenjani. Never tried last one in defence as far i can remember. So Berti's lineup subbing Lenjani per Agolli would be the perfect one.DigBick wrote:Apparently Lenjani has been left out for this match.
Also i don't think he may call Rama this time.

We don't have a good defender at LB position. Lenjani, Agolli, and Aliji are all very weak defensively.
Only Djimsiti (if he comes) would be a massive upgrade over them defensively. He practically plays LB at his club.

If he's dropping Lenjani and Rama for lets say Gymcity(not happening) or Avdijaj than that's reasonable but we know he's gonna drop them for Vila, Curri and Kraplani. He's gonna cite issues like form when Lenjane is playing in a top division while Vila is a mediocre Superliga player..Dragoi wrote:Agolli probably is better as a defender vs Armenia than Lenjani. Rama may be useful for this match due to his dribbling ability if we need a goal. Let him come on and go directly at those Pyunik defenders. He's playing as a stirker for his club recently too which is interesting.

Full list will be published tomorrow. Lets hope Basha, Memushaj, Avdijaj, and Aliji take the final spots rather than Kaplani, Osmani, Vila, etc..

Does Avdijaj have an Albanian passport? I think I missed the memo if that happened.
