An extra motivated lila means we'll be be one man down within 20 minutes.

According to Panorama, De Biasi wants still to play with Lenjani or Rama. Not with Gashi.

Not the worst decision considering Lenjani and Rama have put in some good performances with the NT when they were in the lineup, problem is their club form. Rama's an interesting choice because if we really wanted to test Armenia's weak backline he'd be the better option to start over Gashi as he's a more "explosive" attacker due to his dribbling ability and him being able to beat defenders. He's definitely not the better player though as Gashi is a much better team player and is better in everything else like being useful without the ball, finding open space, making runs, tracking back defensively, reading the defense, etc. That being said I'd rate have Rama come on as a second half sub if we are looking to press the issue more but I'm comfortable in a counter attacking game with Lenjani or Gashi on the left wing. Lenjani is probably the better counter attacking player imo.

Rama was our best attacking player last WC cycle and poof he suddenly vanishes. Good sign the player pool is getting deeper and stronger

Edit: I'm just worried Lila on the wings...

Gashi has to play. It's as simple as that. We got shit Armenian defenders, and he scores on a weekly basis against these types of defenders. I don't mind Gashi being benched for the big games, but starting counterattacking wing players is suicide. Maybe having counterattacking players if we're protecting a lead and want to hurt them on the break would be ok. But not to start the game with.

That's a fair point but I think it's a bit different on club level. He plays for the best team in Switzerland and one that is competitive with the top clubs in Europe, needless to say there's a massive gap in talent between Basel and the other teams in Switzerland. But that being said I think any starting defender in the Swiss league can walk into Armenia's starting backline.

I'm not sure Gashi would have the same chances he has for Basel as Gashi is a player who does his damage off ball meaning making runs, finding pockets, being a "hawk", poaching and basically superior positioning play. Alot of that is because he excels in his role at Basel and he knows what is expected of him and the other players. I just think it will be a bit hard to replicate that system as we don't play like Basel although I'm not gonna lie as a I don't really watch them either.

But on the other hand it would be odd to bench our most in-form attacker in years.,, He deserves a start but I can see why Lenjani should start depending on the team strategy.

Basel is an organized and mentally strong unit, but their individual quality is not far off from what Albania has. It's not like each of Gashi's goals is an unchallenged tap-in. He's managed to score against Swiss defenders with little to work with. I can understand benching Gashi for the big games, but he's perfect for the Armenia ties.

Gashi pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, i am very worried about Mavraj. He is by far our best player and i can't imagine we can win without him. Let's all pray to ALLAH
