Salihi messed up by going MLS, Israel and China. Then he realised we have the chance to qualify for something and came back to Albania to try and get his place in the squad. He went to those poor leagues as he either though Albania is poor and he would get in the squad regardless or he did not really care about Albania as they wouldn't qualify for anything.

Anyway players with this attitude should be left at home. Same with Alban Meha and Jahmir Hyka.

As for comparing Salihi with others in our squad, only compare with Balaj, Sadiku and Cika as that is his competition not wingers.

The problem was not MLS, it was Salihi. He stunk the place from the very beginning, unlike Gashi who's thriving.

What are the abanian journalists thinking in provoking him or making such questions like superliga players or who contributed has to play.

I read the whole press conference and those Albanian journalists really pissed me off. They were provoking him about the Italian NT job and bs like that. Man if I was De Biasi I would troll them back so hard.

And then we wonder why De Biasi gets angry at press conferences. How can you not with those 5 cent pesudo- journalists ?
This is what I've been saying for years now. There are individuals that are connected with FSHF, whether press, or former players(that hold key spots now), that advocate for these superliga trash players and think they're world class players. They believe in nepotism instead of meritocracy.

Former managers like Hahn or Kuze didn't care and were nepotistic when it came to calling players(Hahn especially). They called up the same old superliga trash and didn't care as they were collecting their checks. That's why at the end of Kuze's regime we had one of the worst and oldest rosters in Europe with players like Salihi, Bogdani, Duro, Skela, etc, still being key players. Because these guys were the darlings of the press(Skela was the Albanian Ineista to these idiots) and they were good friends with guys that had key spots in the FSHF.

Di Biasi may be many things but an idiot he is not. He knew he had to shake the whole team from top to bottom. It's a shame Di Biasi didn't come one campaign earlier.

I remember Salihi being decent for DC. Problem with him was that he's a goal poacher who's not very physical(MLS is a very physical league). He also played under a coach at the time who played a very physical style of play and was(still is) a goon. I think he had a falling out with the coach and the "superstar" of the team who was a blackhole offensively.

I think he was decent for a couple of games and fell out of favor pretty soon with the coach. And yes I agree Ben Olsen is a goon and Salihi could have fared better with a more attack minded team like Columbus Crew for example.

Tbh I don't think it's that deep. Obviously there is some favoritism(like Salihi is probably friends with some journalists) but the bigger problem is that they(Albanian journalists) just have no clue about soccer.

Actually fans as well. I've noticed that Albanians in general have trouble comprehending this sport compared to other nationalities. Maybe because Albanians have been used to such low levels that they have a hard time connecting it with the rest of the world. Really Albanians have no fvcking clue how to properly evaluate one single player. For example Albanians thought that Lorik Cana was world class who was supposed to sign for a Liverpool for 20 million but thenwere surprised when (at his peak) he signed for Sunderland for 5 million...

I cringe every time I see these sports TV shows, read articles and comments on social media. I try to avoid them as much as possible. Foreigners are so advanced in this department. They have a better understanding of this sport.

The funniest shit is amateur articles like "Besart Ramadani bene shqiponjen me duar. Eshte gati per Kombetaren" when they want to call up some random guys in Swiss 3rd league and curse DeBiasi :rrokullisem:
