Bear in mind Albanians in RA have a very different opinion of Balli from Albanians outside RA especially those from former Yugoslavia.
Check this footage of Albanians in full "patriotic" national costumes pledging allegiance to Italy and its king. Ballistat were not any better, they were collaborationists and nothing's gonna change that.
Well them there opinion is wrong and they should pick up a book and read it.
I am not suprised they have this opinion as 40 years of communist rule (anti Ballist) would obviously have a huge impact.
Shkurt e shqip, Balli Kombëtar është pasuri kombëtare. The Balli Kombëtar gave us the three greatest years in our recent history. The older people in Kosovë say that. Lidhja e Prizrenit, Balli Kombëtar and UÇK shared a similar ideology as they were all born from the same ideas. All three are movements we should all be proud of.

If you are being sincere in your questioning i suggest you read either 'Kosovo: A short Story' by Neil Malcom or 'The Albanians' by Edwin Jaques.
Those are two books I have read and would recommend. A book i am planning on reading as soon as i can find a copy which you may find of some interest is 'Albania at War 1939-1945' by Bernd Fischer.

As I said a few weeks ago, one was a proto-fascist movement, the other a proto-communist movement. If Balli had come on top after the end of WWII, Albania would have slowly turned into a fascist state like Yugoslavia in the 90s. It was a lose-lose situation. The country didn't have the maturity to establish a proper democracy (it still doesn't).

Actually the communists were the ones to backstab the Balli Kombetare after both sides agreed to a peace agreement so they both drive out the Nazi's/Yugoslavs.
The Balli Kombetare were just naive to trust a bunch of communists who were yugoslav puppets.
Balli Kombetare were a very egalitarian movement that sought to give people rights, lands and attempt to remove inequality. Difference is Balli Kombetare had Albanian Nationalism at the core while the Communists where idolized Marxism/Leninism to the point where it became "god" in Albania. All traces of Albanian identity and culture gone and stripped with Marxism BS.
To think it would have been worst than the communist regime under Hoxha is laughable.
