This thread is so fucking stupid lmao. Every nation is "mixed". I read some article a couple of months ago in BBC that they found soldiers with Middle Eastern DNA in Great Britain during Roman Britain. They were probably brought as mercenaries.

I'm not expert or anything, but to my knowledge physical features can change in a few generations due to something called a founder effect. It means nothing in terms of ancestry. You can find physical differences between northern and southern Albanians that happened in a few generations. It doesn't mean they're of different races.

The scandinavians hold their solid homogeinity because of the harsh living standarts up to 19th century. Noone will migrate to poor countries . Albania itself was a crossroad of people and cultures linking the east to the west so it obvious that countries like ours have such a diversity. The most concentrated genotipical factor that is considered albanian might reach as much as 0.18% while determining which gene was authoctone is a dark field as anyone can reclaim that the most rapresented gene was brought by turks or celts or others. If you see the scandinavians genetic maps you see that they had hard inbreeding while at ours the most present gene in north is almost 0% present at south.

We were pure race long time ago, now wer not after that 500 yrs of the ottoman invasion. Most albanians in general have a big mixure with turks weather theyre from albania, kosova, macedonia... I read somewer a while ago that the purity of albanian/european caucasion was at 52% based on the DNA. Albania has more muslims then christians, that alone tells you were mixed. The way people in europe see us if you are an albanian christian then you're caucasion/european if youre a albanian muslim then youre not pure european. BTW, Albanians didn't mix with Turks. Alot of Albanians did leave for Turkey during the Ottoman empire for one reason or another(Servants, mercenaries, slaves) and left their mark significantly. I wouldn't be surprised if a quarter of turks have Albanian ancestry. Not the same vice versa and quite the opposite.

Albanians converted to Islam and obliged by the devsirme system which left us untouched. We also lived in clan communities, lived in rural mountainous areas that weren't easily accessible, had a culture of respect, not to dishonor family, etc. Albanians are probably the least mixed people in the balkans. Read some excerpts that one of the most renowned anthropologists (Coon) made..

BTW, I find it funny how people in this thread are saying Albanians are "diverse" in their appearances. Our ancestors all came from the Northern Albania mountains and slowly started to settle elsewhere, we all come from the Shkumbin lol.

I think after more than half a millennia the Northerner and Southerners have differentiated a little. Not to extreme but Northerners are generally taller and paler while Southerners are generally more olive skinned/shorter maybe because they're closer to the heart of the mediterranean..

Albanians least mixed people in the balkans? i looked at the pure european/caucasion percentile and i think we did have the highest 1 in the balkans standing at 52% if i remem correctly so im not gonna disagree with u there. However western europe countries had the percentile at 80% and higher dude. We're mixed much more then western europe man and you can eye tell just by the fact that we dont have that many blonds in the country.

Not trying to sound like a eugenicist(again) but a country on the mediterranean having a lot of blondes just doesn't make sense.. Blonde hair is mostly found in colder climates (i.e. Eastern Slavic nations and NorthWestern Europe). There's a lot of brunettes and dirty blondes in Albania as you would expect to find in a country with our climate. So low level of blondes would definitely not correlate to to racial mixing.. If anything us having a lot of blondes would mean they're more likely imported haha
