Tbh I think it was, but the Macedonian's were flopping so hard for the last 15 minutes I think the ref thought that was acting also. So in a way it's their own faultLeandro wrote:tbh that looked like a penalty to meSimboli i Diellit wrote:Turkish refs help Albania according to the Makos : http://macedoniaonline.eu/content/view/30125/2/

Lmao
I thought Macedonia showed Albania way too much respect. They really treated Alb like a big team.. The bunkering, time wasting, flopping, etc.. They really made it clear that they came for a draw. We actually struggled when they attacked and pressed(in the 2nd half mostly). Hell, before the storm happened they looked like they were the team in control.
Offensively Albania was totally harmless and lost. You mention the 61% possession and 460 passes but 98% of all that was defenders passing it to each other the and midfielders passing it backwards to the defenders. It was Macedonia that gave us the possession but we had no clue what to do with it. Albania's entire offensive game was passing it to Hysaj and Hysaj ----> long balls to Sadiku. Hilariously enough, it actually worked once. The stat of the game has to be 0 CORNERS which is insane for a team with 61% possession but if you watched the game it made perfect sense because we were beyond pathetic in attack.
People liked Hyka but I have mixed feelings about him. He won a couple fouls ok but in open field he just looked slow and a lot of heavy touches too. He was pretty harmless. Words cannot describe how bad Gashi was.
And the midfield of Kukeli-Xhaka-Abrashi just doesn't seem to have a lot of chemistry. They never did. They need a more creative player in there. One of Basha, Kace, Memushaj..

I only watched the 2nd half. But I don't know why Memushaj didn't start after his nice starts in the Euros? I thought he was more deserving than Kukeli for sure.
For the most part, I thought Albania looked clueless as a unit. Once again, they don't know how to play when they are forced to play the game and not rely on the other team to make mistakes.
Balaj does it again.
Kukeli with the illest back pass!
I'm also quite surprised Albania scored two goals, both coming from the striker position. We are making progress, fellas.

I thought Hyka was trash Idk what anyone else saw. He was trying to push the tempo and give us a pace but to be honest Roshi does that better than him 100x and Roshi is a more physical of a player than Hyka. Kukeli definitely should have a target on his back after that dreadful pass he almost single handedly cost us the game. I would put in either Memushaj or Kace over him next game. Also I really liked the Sadiku-Balaj pairing up front. It actually gives us a small amount of fire power and they complement each other well. Sadiku is much better technically but Balaj is a much better target for crosses as a striker.Dallku wrote:artan wrote:Difference is we bunker against Griezman, Pogba, Ronaldo, etc, while Macedonia is bunkering against Gashi and Abrashi.

The ball already went passed the Macedonian player before he went down. He should've already had a foot on the ball.Leandro wrote:tbh that looked like a penalty to meSimboli i Diellit wrote:Turkish refs help Albania according to the Makos : http://macedoniaonline.eu/content/view/30125/2/
He saw Berisha was resilient and covered that side so falling down was a desperation move. It definitely was not an "open net" like the article said. :zgerdhimje:

It's not about the penalty really, they're playing into the narrative that Turks are helping Albanians again to fuck over the Slavs

Hell yeah I did. As a matter of fact I wish that was an even clearer PK and am hoping the ref did not call it specifically to help his Arnaut brothers outSimboli i Diellit wrote:Well you did the same as soon as you found out "a friendly" turk ref was on charge

ofc we will play hoofball with a midfield like kukeli, abrashi and xhaka. the tragedy is that this trio cant play even hoofball as they dont have long passing ability. this is a fucking joke
if memushaj AND kaçe dont play next game it will be a fucking travesty. if kukeli plays in any combination im gonna start calling for DBs head
