Well put Berti. I didn't even go into the Evangelicals that are active throughout Albania. That is what I meant when I said Christianity is still actively doing damage. You have all sorts of fringe Evangelical denominations, like the Motmons, Jehovah's Witnesses and 7th Day Adventists, that proselytize to convert Albanians. In Albania historically since the days of King Zog there has been an implicit agreement among the 4 denominations that they won't try and convert from other flocks, only tend to their own. Now these Evangelicals are actively trying to convert anyone that will pay attention to them.

A beard has historically been seen as a sign of man's virility, wisdom and high social status. It was common for Europeans until late in the XIX century to have full beards (see Darwin, Marx, Engels) and to this day you'll see plenty of full beards amongst academics especially. Thanks to the Americans we can now view beards as a terrorist threat too.

Went to xhuma prayer all the time but at the same time one of the most hardcore patriots, had albanian friends of all faiths, and religion was his own thing. Its "per vete" thats the classic example of religion of all three faiths in albanian communities

Spot on Zemi, religion is a personal thing. This is why some of these recent displays of religious behavior by our NT players have caused some to raise an eyebrow. I am pretty laid back when tit comes to religion but when I see people openly quote the Quran or Bible on social media for example it makes me feel uneasy.

Why is it making you feel uneasy? We don't have a problem with them expressing their patriotism but we should care if they express their pride towards a religion? What I'm constantly trying to say it's their own decision to make and it's not up to us. Those same players who took a picture in front of the mosque all got hammered after the match with the exception of Mavraj and Aliji.
