Idiot got cocky thinking he was German NT material. LOL.
For a period of time he was. He made 20 appearances for Germany and won a world cup. He made their 2016 Euro squad and scored a goal.

Good for him. He would also still be starting for us over Dermaku/Ismajli.
He was a sub 90% of the time. It's not like he was a solid starter.

Just one cap for the German NT is worth more than 50 caps for Albania.. let alone winning a World Cup.

Yeah.... if there is anyone who lived the “mercenary dream” it’s Mustafi.

Mavraj waited until he was like 26 just for 1 Germany cap.

How’s he a mercenary ? He played for Germany in a golden generation , stop being so salty

Played for all their youth teams too , not like he gave us false hope

Actually he was very close to joining Albania until Reus got injured and was called to the world cup.

History tells that none of these guys were ever "close" to joining Albania. I doubt Mustafi is an exception. The fact that he got called up as soon as Reus got injured tells you that he had been in close contact with the German FA and their coaching staff all along.
