If the Bajrami news is true, then FSHF are a bunch of clowns. HOW can you get a player to switch if you don't absolutely make sure he's eligible to do so in the first place?

The new FIFA regulations were as long as a player hadn't played 3+ games at SENIOR level for their country past the age of 21 then they could switch. Unless this was a pre-existing passage (then it lacks precedent as it hasn't been used for other cases like Xhaka) then it's strange interpretation to consider Switzerland U21 sen. level.

Duka is an executive at UEFA. Maybe he could pull some strings and get a special permission or something. It's a long shot but there must be some loopholes or excuses for him. For example nobody even knew this rule included youth teams but only the seniors.

I'm pretty sure Bajrami is eligbile for us. The rule changes seemed to have favor dual nationality players as if you don't have 3 or more matches played in a senior World Cup/Eurp Curo before the plater turns 21 you can make a switch (qualifiers don't count). I don't think they changed the rule for players over 21.

I'm guessing FIFA didn't give the green light because documentation proving Bajrami's connections to Albania may be grey (as in parent or grandparent having citizenship or being born in Albania). Maybe FIFA is cracking down on this rule going forward? I think eventually he'll play for us though as the connection is pretty clear.

I'm pretty sure Bajrami himself must be shocked about this news. I never heard about this shit either but when it's the point to weaken some lower teams and countries FIFA alongside top teams are real mafia. I hope the guy never ever choose Switzerland's senior team even if he ends up as a great playmaker. Fuck this modern football, players like Bajrami are true men, they got balls.
