Barcelona valued Manaj that much as to let him become a free agent.

Shabani has gone to Grasshoppers, hopefully he can regain his form because he's a really good player held back the last 2 years because of knee injuries.

"Manchester United are closing in on a deal for goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha."

Now that's amazing

Would be pretty cool.

Years ago Albanians signing for top clubs was unthinkable. Now it seems more casual.

Not worth it to be a backup especially for the NT, we need him playing and in form.

Meh. Strakosha is not great and never developed at all. Even when he was playing he was always shaky for the NT too.

Maybe just being part of that club helps him mentally wise because playing for a smaller club won't do anything.

Bro an Albanian is signing for the biggest club in England . He’ll get plenty of games in the cups , it’s about status.

All about building up our quality . Having guys play for United , Chelsea now will only help. In a matter of 10 years we’ve gone from guys barely playing for some top division teams to having a number of guys at top clubs. It can only help inspire others and bring in diaspora talent.

#2 goalkeeper at United definitely beats being the #1 at a club like Spezia and probably losing your spot there too because of poor performances during the season.

The minutes argument is legit for players like Asllani, Kumbulla, and Broja who are very young and still in development. Not for players who we already know what they are.
