On the more bizarre side, he called Andi Hadroj who was moved to the reserves of his top division Ukrainian team, so he plays in the 3rd tier of Ukraine at the moment.
Hadroj, Aliji, Pllana, and Seferi are players who don't belong. You can replace them with any randoms. They do need to find a serviceable LB.

Israel plays fast, having scored 6 goals in their last 2 games.
Israel scored 19 goals in 8 games during qualifiers.
Albania scored 7 goals in 8 games during qualifiers.
Israeli league is a fast paced league, with leaders Hapoel Beer Sheva scoring 79 goals in 36 games.
Albanian league is a slow paced league, with leaders Vllaznia scoring 42 goals in 36 games.
Albania concedes less than Israel.
Albania conceded just 5 goals in 8 games during qualifiers, while Israel conceded 20.
Two very different styles..

I think it's clear that Mehmeti is obviously a quality player with his performances in the Championship. No need to evaluate he should be penciled in for a starting position regardless.redfootballsv2 wrote: Thu May 28, 2026 8:54 am We should aim to start these names to evaluate them :

I do agree with the others. Hasa is an interesting player because he seems like a decent Serie B player and should be good enough to be a fringe Serie A guy. If we get lucky maybe he becomes a decent to good Serie A player. But regardless, for Albania that is good enough and he should be a player in the mix for us for the next few qualifiers.
Shpendia seems good on paper but I have a feeling he's going to be another forward who can only score from tap ins and penalties. I hope I'm wrong but he still deserves some chances because we don't have much at forward.
BTW, my main account is locked and I haven't been able to log in for like months now. What's going on??

None of us have been able to login, since the forum came back months ago, after going down, all the old accounts have been locked. Any attempt to login to them shows an error message instantly. So we all had to make new accounts. Maybe Simboli can explain.SugarRey wrote: Fri May 29, 2026 9:19 pmBTW, my main account is locked and I haven't been able to log in for like months now. I didn't know who everyone was, but I am pretty sure you are Artan, reym9 is Dallku, and Raketa is obviously Princ.
I include Mehmeti there because despite him being the most valuable player we haven't been able to see much of him for the NT. And Sylvinho didn't trust him for some reason, so it would be interesting to see what he can do and why, if any reason, Sylvinho didn't like him. Because it probably wasn't over nothing, even though Mehmeti is clearly a good player.
Serie B football twitter say that Hasa is a serious talent, he was very important to his team apparently and all their plays went through him. Some were calling for him to return to Napoli, but in general, that he is definitely a Serie A quality player. He also had good performances for Italy U21. I have very high hopes for him.
The weird thing with Cristian Shpendi is that his brother Stiven actually scored more goals this season in Serie B, having 15, and only 1 of them by penalty. In comparison, Cristian had 12 goals and 4 by penalty (8 NPG vs 14 NPG for the other). So why not call both of them, given the list can be as long as we want, they didn't even mention it during the presser which was weird.

He looks good in his videos. Sucks that he's another small, physically weak player but you can see his technical ability and speed are high level.
FSHF needs to be more aggressive on getting some other potential player. They should easily get Nelson Weiper. This is the lowest point of his career where he's struggling at Mainz and barely getting 5 minutes a game.. The potential is there though. Just not for Germany..
That's the difference between them and FFK. Kosovo is very aggressive in getting their potential players. They will go as far as to meet and beg their family members. FSHF is the opposite. If a player is undecided he will get completely ignored.

Adri Mehmeti was a big loss..
1.83m 17 year old but may already be better than any midfielder we have..
He was up there with Sebastian Berhalter, Andres Cubas, Rodrigo De Paul, and Christian Roldan in All Star voting. All these guys will be playing at the World Cup..
Rumored to the biggest clubs in the world..

I saw somewhere that his father said that he will never play for Albania again. Apparently he had a bad experience in one of the camps.

I mean, I don't know, might be true, but it seems like every single time these diaspora kids have an excuse as to why they won't play for Albania.ReyM9 wrote: Sun May 31, 2026 3:04 pmRaketa wrote: Sun May 31, 2026 2:51 pm Adri Mehmeti was a big loss..

I rate the ones who own it, just say you prefer your home country for X and X reason. But they do this to ensure they can still 'claim' their Albanian heritage and get the love of fans whilst not having to make the actual commitment.

Mehmeti in this interview told that he is open to playing for Albania, if he is being honest then we should send him a first team callup. He is good enough to justify playing in the first team and getting appearances.
